Our Story
Ability Foundry empowers people of all abilities to connect with technology, community, and life opportunities by advancing open-source technology that empowers people with disabilities. Born from a brother's desire to play video games with his sibling who has cerebral palsy, our journey began in 2016 with the creation of Xogo, an innovative hardware solution that opened doors for people with disabilities to access mainstream technology.
Today, we're expanding our impact through groundbreaking VR/AR accessibility solutions, AI-powered communication tools, making technology truly accessible for the one billion people worldwide living with disabilities. We invite developers, designers, and advocates to join us on this journey - contributing their skills, ideas, and passion to build inclusive solutions for the disability community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to break down technological barriers and create pathways to independence for people with disabilities through innovative, affordable, and user-centered solutions. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to interact with the world on their own terms, whether through gaming, virtual reality, communication, or daily technology use.
By making technology accessible, we empower individuals to build relationships, pursue education, enter the workforce, and fully participate in their communities.
Our Vision
We envision a world where disability never limits a person's ability to connect, communicate, or thrive. Through continuous innovation and collaboration with the disability community, we strive to create a future where:
